Course Description
This one-year marketing class provides the student with basic marketing knowledge for entry-level job positions. Students will explore business vocabulary, specific skills and techniques in advertising, visual merchandising and display, selling, employability skills, purchasing, management, and numerous other areas related to marketing.

Grading Policy

All classes follow the Romeo Community Schools Secondary Grading Policy that can be found on page seven (pg 7) in the Romeo High School Student Handbook. Retakes: If a student desires to retake an assignment, quiz, or other formative or summative assessment, the retake policy is as directed in the Romeo Community Schools Secondary Retake Policy. Late Work: Late work is not a reflection of academic ability as much as it is a behavior issue. Late work is the result of a lack of effort and/or commitment. Therefore, late work will not incur an academic penalty (reduced points) but will be dealt with as follows:
Additionally, as formative assignments are done with the purpose of providing timely feedback for student learning (and therefore "correct answers" will be returned to students or discussed in class), late assignments will NOT be accepted for credit if
NOTE: Regardless of serving detention(s), missing assignments MUST be made up (without credit) if any reassessments are to be requested/attempted Plagiarism: Plagiarism is taking someone else’s work and passing it off as your own (including copying other students’ work in class). This will neither be tolerated, nor accepted in this class. Work that has been plagiarized will not be accepted for credit and disciplinary action will be taken. Simply ask if you are unsure how to properly cite your work. Extra credit opportunities will NOT be provided. |

Textbook
A set of textbooks will be availble in the classroom for student use.
An electonic version of the textbook will be shared with the students though their google drive account.
IF a student requires a hardcopy textbook for home, one will be made available to check out at the students request.
If a textbook is requested for home use, the student will be responsible for damage or loss of material and be subject to a fine.
